Job Description

We are looking for courteous, professional Art handlers/Drivers interested in Freelance work.
Shifts are available on an as-needed basis, with weekly outreach to check availability.

The driver’s primary responsibility is to perform pickups and delivery of goods to the installation location.
The drivers also participate in the safe and efficient loading/unloading of trucks.
You must be able to operate at a high level of professionalism, dedication, awareness, and reliability.

Responsibilities:

• Safely operate commercial vehicles in diverse weather and road conditions, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
• Participate in the preparation of items for transportation, ensuring proper packaging, securing, and handling to prevent damage.
• Execute all assigned deliveries, pickups, and other daily tasks promptly and efficiently as directed by the Dispatcher
• Maintain accurate and timely updates throughout the day, including completion status of deliveries/pickups, vehicle maintenance logs, and any deviations from the planned route.
• Ensure the security of loads during transportation, conducted inspections, and signed off on loads if not present during the loading process.
• Demonstrate physical capability to lift, bend, carry, and load packages, following directions and turn-by-turn maps for efficient navigation.
• Be respectful, and readily assist team members as needed.
• Proactively communicate any vehicle safety concerns to the Dispatcher and Logistics Manager, ensuring prompt resolution and maintenance to uphold safety standards.
• Be available for flexible scheduling, including nights, weekends, and out-of-town travel.

Requirements:

• A valid license with a clean driving record. (Motor Vehicle Record check required).
• Minimum 3 years experience with driving box trucks (up to 26’).
• Previous experience in truck driving or event transportation is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Flexibility to accommodate varying schedules and event requirements.
• Willingness to assist in tasks not typically assigned to drivers, such as wrapping elements and pulling pack lists.
• Possession of a mobile phone and proficiency in sending and receiving emails and text messages for communication purposes.

Physical Demands:

This position is active and frequently requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, and lifting. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
