Web Designer

We are seeking a proficient and creative Web Designer to join our team at Dr. Marketing in Mississauga. In this role, you will craft compelling, responsive, and user-friendly digital experiences for cross-platform websites, mobile applications, and digital interfaces. This position offers the opportunity to work on innovative projects while collaborating closely with our marketing team, project managers, and clients to bring ideas to life.

  • Salary: $45,000–$55,000 per year
  • Hours: 40 hours per week (Monday to Friday)
  • Location: Mississauga
  • Proposed Resumption Date: January 20, 2025

Responsibilities

  • Website Design: Create engaging, visually appealing designs that align with client preferences and brand objectives.
  • Wireframes and Mock-ups: Develop user-friendly and persuasive prototypes and mock-ups.
  • Graphics Creation: Design graphics to enhance visual appeal and functionality.
  • Responsive Design: Build templates optimized for various devices and operating systems.
  • Layout and Branding: Implement website layouts, logos, and cohesive branding strategies.
  • Custom Duda Themes: Design and develop tailored Duda themes.
  • Industry Trends: Stay updated on design trends and best practices.
  • Backup Management: Maintain secure backups of website files.
  • Marketing Support: Collaborate on visual assets such as landing pages, ads, brochures, and more.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in web and graphic design with a strong portfolio.
  • 3+ years of experience in a Junior Web Designer or Graphic Designer role.
  • Expertise in design tools (Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, Sketch, etc.).
  • Strong understanding of HTML, CSS, WordPress, Duda, and UI/UX principles.
  • Familiarity with JavaScript and CMS platforms.
  • Excellent communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and attention to detail.
