Join Lantech as a 2nd shift Automated Weld Cell (AWC) Machine Operator in our CLIMATE CONTROLLED facility. Our AWC Operators START at $22.75/hr ($21.75/hr + 1.00/hr for shift differential)2nd Shift: Mon - Thu, 3pm - 1:30 am Who are We? Why You Matter: As an AWC Operator, you are an important member of a Fabrication Team that welds all the steel components which will be assembled in Lantech's Feeder Cells. AWC operators will be learning and working with a state-of-the-art welding robot that produces Lantech's Semi-Automatic stretch-wrapping machines. These machines contribute directly to the supply line that moves essential goods around the country and the rest of the world.
Here's a Glimpse at What you'll Do: As an Automated Weld Cell Technician at Lantech, you will be required to learn all current and future quadrants of the AWC including the loading and unloading of parts into fixture ensuring proper placement. Will be required to train new operators and fill in for planned and unplanned absences. Will be primary point of support to get robot out of a "crash" / "unstuck". Will be trained to alter weld routines such as "commenting out" a part from a routine. Will be working with robotics engineer to resolve shut down issues of the AWC.
Responsibilities include:
- Evaluate and prep parts to verify proper weldment and finish.
- Load finished parts onto paint carts / finished WIP racks.
- Perform routine preventive maintenance on Automated Weld Cell (AWC).
- Examine / clean fixtures between cycles to ensure proper fit and finished quality.
- Communicate cell problems / part shortages to team leader to resolve.
What Are We Looking For? (Requirements) We are looking for someone who:
- 3 years welding experience
- Minimum 2 years' experience with robotics operations
- Must be willing to attend technical training associated with position.
- Must be a self-starter who is detail oriented with a strong commitment to safety, quality, organization and able to work effectively within the fast-paced environment described above.
- Must be able to train and certify to operate an overhead crane.
- Candidate will have a high aptitude for working with situations of a manufacturing nature, effective use of time, and be capable of adapting to a varied work environment. Must have proven record of good attendance.
Education & Experience: - A production background is strongly preferred.
- Machine operation experience is a plus.
- Previous welding experience is a plus.
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required (Vocational/trade school training as well is preferred).
