\nPosition Summary:
Responsible for conducting chemical, physical, and instrumental laboratory tests on materials to support research and development, quality control, and environmental standards. This role involves the experimental, theoretical, or practical application of chemistry and related sciences to ensure product and process quality.
\n\nEssential Functions and Responsibilities:
\n\nMonitor raw material and finished product quality to ensure they meet specified standards.
\n\t\n\tAnalyze organic and inorganic compounds to determine their chemical or physical properties, using techniques such as chromatography, spectroscopy, or spectrophotometry.
\n\t\n\tPrepare technical reports, graphs, and charts to document experimental findings.
\n\t\n\tReview, compile, and interpret test results, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
\n\t\n\tCoordinate with contract laboratories to send samples and track testing progress.
\n\t\n\tPrepare chemical solutions for analysis and, when necessary, develop and verify testing methods.
\n\t\n\tPerform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of laboratory instruments.
\n\t\n\tClean, sterilize, and maintain laboratory instruments and equipment.
\n\t\n\tManage inventory and order necessary materials to maintain supply levels.
\n\t\n\tAdhere to and comply with standard operating procedures (SOPs), safety policies, and cGMP guidelines.
\n\t\n\tAssess and evaluate the quality, identity, and safety of raw materials and finished products.
\n\t\n\tCollaborate with Quality Assurance, Formulations, and Purchasing teams to review new raw materials.
\n\t\n\tEstablish specifications for raw materials and finished products alongside Quality Assurance.
\n\t\n\tEnsure proper laboratory procedure flow and assist in general lab operations.
\n\t\n\tFollow safety protocols, report unsafe conditions, and correct hazardous situations.
\n\t\n\tPerform other tasks as needed or directed by management.
\n\t\nKnowledge:
\n\nProficient in the use of arithmetic, algebra, geometry, calculus, and statistics in QC laboratory functions.
\n\t\n\tStrong understanding of the chemical composition, structure, properties, and chemical processes of substances, including their interactions and disposal methods.
\n\t\n\tFamiliar with the theoretical and practical aspects of Analytical Chemistry, including chromatographic and spectroscopic techniques for isolating, identifying, and quantifying chemicals.
\n\t\n\tKnowledgeable in the operation, design, repair, and maintenance of laboratory instruments and equipment.
