Electrical Designer

Rochester, MN

Salary: $75,000 to $115,000

Overview:

• Holding professional registrations in all 50 U.S. states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, and Canada, our client is equipped to deliver coordinated, multi-discipline services wherever clients have projects. ​

Responsibilities:

• Develop electrical plans for power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, and other building systems in healthcare, commercial, and institutional facilities.
• Work closely with mechanical, structural, and architectural teams to ensure fully coordinated and integrated designs.
• Prepare drawings, specifications, and documentation using Revit and other design software to support all phases of design and construction.
• Ensure designs meet applicable electrical codes (NEC, NFPA, etc.) and client-specific standards.
• Participate in site reviews to verify existing conditions and assess project requirements or progress.
• Contribute to project schedules, design decisions, and client communications as part of a collaborative engineering team.
• Stay current with emerging technologies and best practices in electrical design, particularly as they relate to energy efficiency and sustainability.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.​
• EIT license preferred.
• 3-5 years of mechanical engineering experience for healthcare, commercial, and institutional buildings.
• Proficiency with design software such as Revit, AutoCAD, and energy modeling tools.​
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.​
