About the Role
The Company is seeking a Head of Architecture to lead the definition and execution of the architectural vision and technical direction for its platform. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing architectural standards that prioritize system stability, scalability, and fault tolerance. This role requires a focus on high-availability design patterns to ensure uninterrupted platform performance and a full-stack strategy that emphasizes reliability and performance. The Head of Architecture will also be instrumental in team enablement, promoting a reliability-first mindset, and working closely with cross-functional teams to define an architectural roadmap that supports both immediate scalability needs and long-term growth. Applicants for the Head of Architecture position at the company should have a BS or MS degree in a relevant field and at least 15 years of experience in software product development, with a strong emphasis on data/application architecture and site reliability. The role demands a proven track record in architect roles, particularly in large-scale, data-backed software services and applications. Technical expertise in domain-driven design, microservices architecture, data mesh, and cloud-native architecture is essential, as is a deep understanding of system design and building highly reliable systems. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with a range of technologies, including backend and frontend frameworks, data processing, cloud services, and a strong background in DevOps and CI/CD practices. Soft skills such as strong communication, business acumen, and the ability to collaborate and influence are also key for this leadership position.
