We would love to have you join our housekeeping team here at the East Peoria Embassy Suites as a Room Attendant! The cleanliness of a hotel is one of the main reasons that keep our guests returning to and recommending our hotels to friends and family. It goes without saying that hotel housekeepers have one of the most important roles that take place in a hotel daily. We are looking for individuals with great attention to detail to join our housekeeping team. The ideal candidate creates a memorable experience for our guests through their attention to detail and the care they take in preparing and maintaining the guest rooms. Responsibilities include cleaning and maintaining hotel guest rooms, public areas and laundry per established protocols, removal of linen, disinfecting surfaces, cleaning bathrooms, glass, mirrors, dusting, polishing, replacing light bulbs, remaking beds, replenishing supplies, emptying wastebaskets, cleaning rugs and furniture, using approved chemicals, maintaining storage closets and carts, sorting laundry, using laundering equipment, disinfecting public areas, upholding quality standards, training new associates, performing deep cleaning and preventative maintenance, reporting damages and safety issues, and following company policies. The candidate should have flexibility to work weekdays, weekends, and holidays, housekeeping experience is desirable, and must have good communication and time management skills, ability to work on feet for extended periods, and ability to lift and move loads up to 25 lbs.
