Patent Prosecution Associate or Department Attorney

Job Description:

We are seeking to hire a patent prosecution associate or department attorney to join our Intellectual Property Practice Group in either our Chicago, IL or San Francisco, CA office.

Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with clients to navigate changing patent laws and judicial decisions.
  • Provide solutions for avoiding competitors' patents and protecting client assets.
  • Draft and prosecute patent applications before the USPTO.
  • Collaborate with a diverse team to extract value from intellectual property.

Qualifications:

  • 5-8 years of patent prosecution experience.
  • Experience drafting patent applications and prosecuting before the USPTO.
  • Undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or equivalent.
  • USPTO admission.
  • Strong academic credentials.
  • Superb judgment and communication skills.
  • Commitment to providing excellent client services.
  • Chicago, IL: $300,000 - $350,000
  • Additional contingent compensation may apply based on performance and other factors.
  • Standard benefits package.
