Summary:
We are seeking a Polysomnographic Technologist for a 13-week night shift contract. The role focuses on the acquisition and interpretation of sleep studies with an emphasis on pediatric patients. This position is ideal for candidates with at least 1 year of experience in sleep diagnostics, including pediatric sleep disorders, and registry in Polysomnography.

• Prepare and monitor pediatric and adult patients for overnight polysomnography studies

• Collect, analyze, and interpret sleep data using established protocols

• Apply and adjust sensors and electrodes to ensure accurate data collection

• Monitor respiratory and cardiac activity, oxygen saturation, muscle tone, and brain waves

• Document patient observations and maintain accurate records

• Recognize and respond to critical events such as respiratory distress or cardiac abnormalities

• Maintain and calibrate sleep study equipment and troubleshoot technical issues

• Collaborate with sleep physicians and interdisciplinary care teams on patient assessments

• 1+ year of recent sleep lab experience

• Experience with pediatric sleep studies required

• Registry in Polysomnography (RPSGT or equivalent) required

• Must be able to work independently with a 2:1 patient ratio

• Must be available to work every other weekend

• First-time travelers accepted

• RTO must be submitted at the time of profile submission

Education:
Graduate of an accredited Polysomnography or Sleep Technology program

Experience:
Minimum 1 year of experience performing sleep studies, including pediatric patients

License & Certifications:

• Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) Required

• BLS Preferred

• State license If applicable (must be active at time of submission)

Clinical Proficiencies:

• Pediatric sleep study monitoring

• Overnight polysomnography setup and scoring

• BiPAP/CPAP titration

• Use of EEG, EKG, pulse oximetry, EMG, and respiratory equipment

• Troubleshooting sensor/equipment issues in real time

• Data interpretation and reporting for physician review

Work Environment:

• Pediatric and adult sleep lab

• 2:1 patient-to-tech ratio

• Night shift clinical setting
