Summary Experienced level Senior Web UI Software Developer with deep expertise in PHP on Linux, jQuery, and SQL, complemented by strong skills in C, C++, and C#. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in designing, developing, and maintaining web-based user interfaces for our applications.
Environment This role is an integral member of the team, as the role provides critical technical expertise. Toptech is a highly fluid and fast paced work environment, individuals are expected to be flexible and have a willingness to adapt to changing priorities. The position allows the individual to work in a comfortable causal team environment with internal and external resources. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. (Other duties may be assigned)
- Develop, enhance, and maintain web applications using PHP on Linux, ensuring high performance and responsiveness.
- Implement dynamic and interactive user interfaces using jQuery.
- Design and optimize database interactions using SQL.
- Work with C, C++ to integrate web applications with backend services and system components.
- Ensure software quality through code reviews, unit testing, and best practices.
- Troubleshoot and resolve software defects and performance issues.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and deliver new features.
- Stay up to date with industry trends and emerging technologies to enhance our development processes.
Required Skills and Qualifications - 5+ years of professional experience in web development.
- Strong expertise in PHP on Linux.
- Proficiency in jQuery and front-end development best practices.
- Deep understanding of SQL and database management.
- Experience with C, C++, and C# for backend services and system integrations.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to debug complex issues.
- Experience working with version control systems (Perforce, etc.).
- Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.
- Excellent communication and analytical skills.
Preferred Qualifications - Experience with modern PHP frameworks (e.g., Laravel).
- Knowledge of RESTful API development and microservices architecture.
- Familiarity with DevOps tools, and containerization (Docker).
- Experience in cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).
- Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices.
