Job Description
We are recruiting for an established non-profit firm in need of a Bilingual Administrative Assistant with a valid Notary certification. Strong MS Office/technical skills as well as the ability to transcribe is needed. Person must have a Notary Certification/License. Previous legal experience would be helpful
This role will also require the person to transition with the company from their current office in NYC location to their new offices in Yonkers, NY.
Responsibilities would include:
• Processing marriage cases, assisting with scheduling/correspondence, preparing/tracking letter & decrees
• Perform as a Notary for all formal testimonies taken and transcribe/type testimonies when necessary
• Ensure accuracy, completeness and professionalism of all materials produced
• Answer phones and interact with clients and senior staff
Requirements:
• Fluent Bilingual/Spanish required
• Current Notary certification/license is required
• Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel skills
• Excellent analytical, verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to transcribe recorded testimony, or willingness to learn
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and willingness to assist others in the office
• Previous legal experience, helpful
• Must have own means of transportation
